Account managers (AMs) at Ad.net play a critical role in ensuring the success of our clients’ campaigns. They are matched up with our clients, and are the interface between Ad.net and the partnerships we foster. The AM oversees and understands the client’s needs, and makes sure that Ad.net delivers solutions towards the same goal. This means they are organized, proactive, and effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
Get Ready with Me: Account Manager
Follow along a typical morning routine of an Ad.net Account Manager.
It is early morning on a typical Wednesday in sunny Los Angeles and my phone is buzzing. I pick it up and see a message from a client who is ready to launch a new campaign. I start my day with morning yoga and am eager to head into the LA office, where I kick it off with a cup of coffee and prioritizing urgent tasks.
If you are based in Los Angeles, you have the option to work from our office or remotely, and some of us take advantage of working from the office to catch up with colleagues and grab coffee or lunch together. Whether it is grabbing going to Blue Bottle or picking up a fresh snack from Eataly, it is always nice to catch up on weekend plans or upcoming vacations with our fellow coworkers.
The early morning messages that come through can be about anything client related. This is the start of a typical day in the life of an Ad.net Account Manager – a fast-paced, constantly evolving role that requires quick thinking, multitasking, and a strong attention to detail.
Role of an Account Manager at Ad.net
At Ad.net, you are not just analyzing and reporting on data, you are the one optimizing those accounts as well. Your key focus is hitting clients’ goals. Monitoring and analyzing client data and customer behavior are essential for an AM. This data helps to identify trends, spot opportunities, and make data-driven decisions to enhance client satisfaction. You might be knee-deep in data analysis but have to quickly switch to a client-facing Zoom call, where you must summarize current performance, past optimizations, and suggest the way forward concisely. Thinking on your feet is always necessary.
There is a constant flow of communication with clients via slack, email, and consistent check-in calls. During these check-ins, you will be discussing current campaigns and offering insights and solutions to drive better results. Throughout the day, you will also be working closely with different teams across the company, collaborating to make sure everyone is aligned and working towards the client’s goals.
